Return Policy
Return & Refund Policy for The Salty Pigeon Mail Co.
At The Salty Pigeon Mail Co., every item is custom-printed just for you. Because of the bespoke nature of our print-on-demand process, we have a specific set of guidelines regarding returns and refunds.
1. The "Custom-Made" Rule
Since all products are manufactured only after an order is placed, we do not accept returns or exchanges for "change of mind" or incorrect size selection. Before completing your purchase, please:
- Review our Size Guides (found on the product pages).
- Double-check your Design/Color choices.
- Verify your Shipping Address.
2. Damaged or Defective Items
We want you to love your purchase. If your order arrives damaged or with a manufacturing defect, we will make it right.
- Reporting Period: You must report any damage or defects within 14 days of the delivery date.
- How to Report: Email us at vicki@thesaltypigeon.com with your order number and clear photos of the damaged item and the packaging.
- Resolution: Once the defect is verified, we will send a replacement at no cost to you or issue a full refund to your original payment method.
3. Missing or Lost Packages
If your tracking information shows that your package was delivered but you haven't received it:
- Check with neighbors or your local post office first.
- Contact us within 7 days of the marked delivery date.
- For packages lost in transit (no delivery update for 15+ days), we will initiate a claim with the carrier and arrange a replacement.
4. Refund Process
If a refund is approved:
- It will be processed automatically to your original payment method.
- Please note that it may take 5–10 business days for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
5. Cancellations
Because we aim to fulfill orders as quickly as possible, we can only accept cancellations within 2 hours of the order being placed. After this window, the item has likely entered production and cannot be canceled.
6. Items Not Eligible for Refund
- Items returned without prior communication with our support team.
- Items damaged by the customer (e.g., improper washing or wear and tear).
- Orders with incorrect shipping addresses provided by the customer.

Unlike traditional retail, our products are printed to order. This means that when you place an order, we begin the manufacturing process specifically for you.
- Production Time: Please allow 3–7 business days for your order to be printed and prepared for shipment.
- Peak Seasons: During holidays or high-demand periods, production times may extend to 10 business days.
2. Shipping Rates & Estimates
Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. We offer several tiers of shipping depending on your location and the weight of the items.
- Domestic (USA): Typically arrives 3–5 business days after the production period.
- International: Typically arrives 10–21 business days after the production period, depending on the destination and local customs processing.
Note: Delivery dates are estimates provided by carriers and are not guaranteed.
3. Tracking Your Order
Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification with a tracking number. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become active in the carrier's system.
4. International Shipping (Customs, Duties, and Taxes)
The Salty Pigeon Mail Co. is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).
5. Incorrect Shipping Addresses
Please double-check your shipping address during checkout. We are not responsible for orders shipped to an incorrect address provided by the customer. If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect address, you will be responsible for the cost of re-shipping the item.
